How do I download from Windows Live Messenger 2011 to 2009 WITHOUT losing my emoticons?

Every time I try to downgrade a WLM version I always lose my emoticons. Even when I backup the folder Custom Emoticons. How do I keep them intact while downgrading?|||As i know there is no way to do this :(
