How do I get different emoticons in my bbm status?

I downloaded the Easy Smiley pack but whenever I go to use it in my bbm status it says that I can only use the smilies in the chat window. is there a code I can enter? or is there something I need to do completely different to get different emoticons in my bbm status and name?|||Hmm. I think theres a smiley face code
