How do i get rid of my windows llive messenger emoticons?

i added some emoticons on my msn messenger so that when you type the relevant word they appear. They impressed me for 10 seconds and now they are a pain--help! How do i get rid of automatic emoticons on msn messenger???|||well you cant even take them off from the msn messenger cause whenever you do download the instant messenger from msn.com comes with it ?
