I have tried every help suggestion imaginable. I've uninstalled and reinstalled yahoo. I've also deleted the smileys folder and found where to get the original smileys, and still those dreadful naughty ones pop up. Please don't judge me. I was stupid for ever thinking it was cool to have them. Now I want them gone. Please, please help me!|||This is what I would do. Download Revouninstall. It is a program to remove all the files and folders, registry items that are left behind after a program has been uninstalled.
Here is a link to it. It is free for 30 days. Used the "Forced Uninstall" option.

I would also uninstall Messenger again using Revouninstall and use a drive cleaner, such as CCleaner to delete the rubbish you do not need off your computer.

It may also be worthwhile running a spyware program such as Spybot just to check that you have not picked up a virus from these naughty emoticons. I picked up a nasty virus from using emoticons that were not from Yahoo. Here is a link to Spybot:

If you decide to use Spybot then disconnect yourself from the Internet before running it.
