How to find and uninstall naughty emoticons for yahoo?

I have tried every help suggestion imaginable. I've uninstalled and reinstalled yahoo. I've also deleted the smileys folder and found where to get the original smileys, and still those dreadful naughty ones pop up. Please don't judge me. I was stupid for ever thinking it was cool to have them. Now I want them gone. Please, please help me!|||This is what I would do. Download Revouninstall. It is a program to remove all the files and folders, registry items that are left behind after a program has been uninstalled.

Also, when I try to change my photo display it seems on my end that it changes but the person that I am chatting with does not see a different photo. I have tried it with 3 different chat friends and all of them have told me that my photo doesn't change. Anyone know about adding new emoticons on a zetaboard forum?

I have my own page and i wanted to add blue emoticons, but i cant seem to get any that work. Is there a site where i can save them on my comp or anything so i can add them to my site?





Thanks for your help!|||Since the site is yours, see if you can toggle with the html. Then open up the yellow emoticon in a program such as gimp, fireworks, or photoshop (preferably gimp). And change the yellow colors to blue. Then upload that picture to a site such as tinypic.com. Find the section of the html code where it lists the codes for the emoticons and add yours by copying the previous code, pasting it below, and changing the url of the photo to the url of your photo on tinypic. This is probably the long way around, but it's the only way I can think of. Otherwise maybe try switching to a forum who supports blue emoticons (I currently know of none).

where can I find a list of keys from typewriter to make emoticons?|||It doesn't work that way, sorry. Even if you were given character keys for certain smileys, it wouldn't do the person you're sending the message to any good unless the have the software to read and change those letters into images.

I used to use MSN and I know that on that you could right click the emoticon and add it. Now I'm using a different computer and even when my friends use my old emoticons they don't even come up on the screen. Could this be because they use MSN and I use Live Messenger? How to uninstall Naughty Emoticons for Yahoo?

I installed naughty emoticons for yahoo messenger and I did not want to. I have uninstalled and reinstalled messenger four times. I have done system restore twice. I have tried to manually delete my Yahoo folder from Program Files and nothing has worked. 2)Save the file your desktop and then Right click on the Smileys.zip file and unzip it into a regular file(if you have a question about how to do this, let me know)





3) Double click on My Computer(opening a whole new window) and follow along on over to here... C: -%26gt; Program Files -%26gt; Yahoo! -%26gt; Messenger -%26gt; Media -%26gt; Smilies





4) Open up the file that you just recently just saved then unziped onto the desktop, copy ALL the files contained within and then paste them into the folder that you just browsed too(the Yahoo Smilies folder)(overwriting EVERYTHING). OR you can simpley drag and drop all the files from the D/Led smileys folder and drop all the files into the yahoo folder you just moved too.





5) Enjoy :)








p.s. i even think you can do this while still being logged onto yahoo messenger, nifty right?|||Go to Control Panel-%26gt; Add/Remove Programs and search for Naughty Emoticons.


If you can't find that program or what it is, go to My Computer and press the Search button, and search Naughty Emoticons, or what's the name of it.


If it finds you, just delete it.

I got to thinking, we express emotion and clarify meaning on the net by typing emoticons such as :) or O_o, why we don't we do the same thing in writing? We always had emotions and the need to clarify meaning, so why did it take the Internet for us to come up with the idea of drawing little faces?|||There are several reasons emoticons are not used in handwriting. The first is the fact that handwriting does not restrict one to using only characters available on a keyboard. In other words, if one wants a smiley face, one need only draw or doodle it. The other is that handwriting makes (or should make) one more careful about how one expresses oneself. When using computer keyboarding, it's very easy to use emoticons as a "crutch" to denote meaning, which lends itself to sloppy writing.





Read some classic literature and you'll see what I mean. There is no need for "translation" or interpretation. Good writing does not need assistance from shortcuts or add-ons.|||Emoticons are a horrible way of depicting emotion.





:) is a terrible substitute for a smily face, their are many types of smily faces, so many that little pieces of text don't do them justice.

They all worked before...and now when I sign onto messenger, the avatar is blank, and the emoticons and audibles are blank too. I have tried everything to get them back. What can I do?|||You should click on where your audible would be and make sure Share My Avatar is checked. The person you are IM'ing may not be using the same type of Yahoo IM you are. Theirs might be updated. That maybe why you cannot use the audibles. Its happened to me, too.

How do i use emoticons for Whatsapp on my blackberry curve 8520? Read description :D?

I have the latest operating system That it requires.. OS 5. But i still cant use emoticons on my BB!|||Blackberry OS 6 is the one that shows all the emoticons.

yes they are compatible but that WLM version has a bug so lot of pple cannot use their custom icons ...in this case no way .. you have to unsinstall and reinstall WLM 8.5

How can i transfer my MSN/Windows Live Messenger emoticons to my other account?

I have two Windows Live Messenger accounts and i wanted to send the emoticons from account #1 to account #2.





I tried sending them by signing into #1 and sending the emoticons as offline messages to #2 --- however when i signed into account #2 and read my offline messages there were just the shortcut words that showed up and NO emoticons...





Sooo... Is there somewhere they are saved on my computer that i can open them into account #2 even if they are only in account #1?

you can't really save them anywhere or anything and you can't transfer them from the same computer


and you can't sign in in 2 computers and send them to the other computer coz when you open it in your computer you won't have the emoticons the emoticons are saved in your computer but when you sign in from a different computer they won't be saved in your msn you can add new ones but they won't be saved in your other computer


you can ask a friend and send her the emoticons and she can send them to you on the other account that could work but nothing else works


that happened to me before and i tried everything but nothing worked i even tried copying them and pasting them in power point and other programes it worked but they didn't move they were just a picture

my brother did countless emoticons to his friend the other day, is that considered spamming?|||Your answer is simular to the answer that I gave this person just take out the parts that dont pertain to your question and fill in the blanks where they do apply to your question. Any program problems can be remedied by following these few simple steps.





Go to your Start Menu and do a search for any Yahoo Messenger programs new or old and delete them completely out of your computer. Then use the Disk Clean up feature,you can find this by going to your Start Menu moving your cursor over to All Programs up to Accessories then to System Tools then to Disk Cleanup. Select all the boxes that apply and click OK it will prompt you Yes or No. Click Yes and wait for it to complete and it will go away.





Then you need to Defragment your hard drive or drives if you have more than one. You can do this by following the same way that I told you to go to the Disk Clean up and Disk Defragmenter is right under Disk Cleanup. Click Disk Defragmenter when the menu comes up click on one of your Hard Drive locations then click Analyze when it completes click Defragment.





This may take awhile depending how large your hard drive is and/or how long it has been since it has been defragmented. If you have alot of red lines among the blue and green lines then you are in desperate need of defragmenting. These two features if performed reguraly at least once a week depending on how much you use your computer,will move your files around to ultimately speed up your computer.





This seems alot to go through to get to where you need to be but trust me it will work. The same thing happened to me when I updated from 8.0 to 9.0 and this was the only solution for me. All this said and done. Do another Search for Yahoo Messenger on your hard drive to make sure that all remainders of Yahoo Messenger are deleted. Once that is done Reboot your computer then go to Yahoo search and download Yahoo Messenger 9.0 and you shouldn't have any more problems.





You can do this for any programs that you are having trouble with. This worked for me so it should correct your problem too. It seems like alot but it wont take very long to complete the task. Always remember to reboot after you make alot of changes to reset your computer. If you need any more advice hit me up!|||i dont think that it would be?

How can I transfer emoticons from one computer to another ?

I have a new laptop and want the emoticons for MSN messenger I have on my old laptop to transfer across. They are obviously stored locally - can anyone tell me the file I need to copy over?|||You can try this:





-- Find where your emoticons are stored.


-- Copy the entire CustomEmoticons folder to the new computer and DON'T change anything in it. The map.dat file is responsible for keeping track of your emoticons and the emoticons are the files called TFR....dat





To find your custom emoticons, you need to find your own folder which is a long number. You can get a program to work out your number; I use it all the time - it's quite safe and really easy to use. It's the attachment on the third post down here:

Once you have the number, search your computer for CustomEmoticons or your folder number. One of the folder numbers on our computer is 2656145169 and inside is this person's CustomEmoticon folder.





Also, although I don't know of and haven't used them, I know there are programs around to move your Messenger profile to another computer or to back up and reinstall.

Why do Asians always use way more emoticons than everyone else?

I swear, Asians always use so many emoticons in their online communication. Whether it's forums, chat rooms, whatever, so many damn emoticons.





It's always "xD" this, "¬¬" that, some "%26gt;:(" over here. What is the secret?|||IDK|||Hmm coming from an Asian myself, uhh tbh I dont know as well haha.


It's just a habit I guess, like you know how Malaysians and Singaporeans always use la or something at the end, eg. "I dont know la!" instead of "I dont know", something like that, just something to end the sentence.


Personally I think ¬¬ is only for koreans, most koreans used that. However others like "XD" or " =)" or whatever is more worldwide known.|||Few Japanese use "xD" or "¬¬" or "%26gt;:(."

And Japanese are only a very tiny minority among English-speaking "Asians" that you encounter on the net or in real life.

Why does Yahoo messenger have different emoticons for different versions?

Many emoticons are only available depending on whether I'm using the full version on my pc, chatting on my iPhone or chatting through Yahoo mail. It's not the end of the world for me, but it does get irritating sometimes. So, I'm just curious as to why all emoticons wouldn't just be available across the board.|||Cause that's just the way it is|||Not everyone is so interested in emotes that they want to look through too many just to find a simple "I feel good" smiley. I think that's why Yahoo and other sites only load a few, knowing that the real enthusiasts can download a batch if they really wanted them.





Personally, I would hate to have to look through 200 emotes just to find a happy or sad face.

MSN is the only program that lets you send custom emotes :( So your contacts will need to install it to see them.

How come the new hidden Emoticons don't work?

There are new hidden Emoticons like; X_X, and :!!, or ^#(^. None of these new emoticons work. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Yahoo Messenger, they still don't work.|||Are you sure you have the latest version of Yahoo Messenger?

1) The pictures are smaller cuz the display bow u put them in is smaller so the picture is narrowed down.
